This Byzantine icon depicts the Most Holy Theotokos alone, with a gentle face, a tender gaze and a slight inclination towards prayer and intercession. Hand-painted on solid wood, in a 23 x 16.5 cm format, the icon is finished with gold leaf, which discreetly illuminates the holy contours.
Made in traditional Orthodox technique, with natural pigment and great piety, the icon respects the canons of Byzantine painting and conveys peace, comfort and protection.
